Yakima, Washington the Palm Springs of Washington or so they claim.
Stayed at the Elks Lodge right on the golf course.
Great place to stay, we got to park right on the lawn. I would never have allowed this ......
Shortly after arriving we were greeted by 2 friendly fellow RVer's Vern and Steve. Wasn't long and they invited us to join them for "Happy Hour". Turned out to be 5 couples plus us. All 5 couples live in Washington and winter in El Centro, California. What a small world. They were all so nice. We hadn't even finished Happy Hour and they insisted we stay for dinner. Twist our arm.
In the "Happy Hour" group we were lucky enough to meet Sam Bissell. He is retired from the National Forest and was responsible maintaining all the Off Road trails in the Wenatchee National Forest. He offered to take us Jeeping one day. What fun we had!
You can't see them in this picture, but we could see about a dozen Mountain Goats on the side of this mountain.
Standing at the edge of Bethel Ridge
What views we enjoyed! Too bad it was cloudy we might have been able to show you pictures of Mount Rainier.
We had such a good time with Sam and Jan Gano we ask them if we could come back next week....they said yes!
