Who is that walking along side of the Columbia River?

It's Ms Tomasina Turkey

Releasing the water. Getting ready for the nightly laser light show.

Lake Roosevelt formed behind Grand Coulee Dam.

It's huge and it's powerful.  The Grand Coulee Dam can generate more electricity than any other dam in North America.  The largest turbines/generators at Grand Coulee Dam weigh 3,000 tons.  The flow of water from the Columbia River is so strong, it can get the turbines up to full speed in 12 seconds.  The total length of the dam is 5,223 feet - almost a mile long and as tall as a 46-story building - approximately as tall as Seattle's Space Needle.
