El Centro, California

Cause marking it off our "Bucket List" once wasn't enough. So for the second time this year Dave and I along with friends Sam and Jan hiked out to the Goat Canyon Trestle on the Impossible Railroad.

It was an extremely windy day. In places, we estimated gusts to 50-60 mph and this is one of those spots. It was difficult to walk and stand at times.

On the way back we received a stern talking to from railroad employees about the fact that we were trespassing and subject to a $500 fine each. We just listened and eventually, we were told we “seemed like nice people” and were advised to tell others not to come.

Waiting for the Blue Angels

Notice the ones upside down

Quite a collection of Off Road memorabilia

Hooked up with the Jacumba Hikers

Indian Hill

Checking out the Petroglyphs

Headed cross country to the Gunpowder shack

Headed to the railroad tracks

Dave spied a Shadowgee.  This was used to hold a candle for light.

We finally made it to the Museum when it was open

To our surprise the museums film featured our square dance friend Jerry.

Interesting facts about the Imperial Valley
