Agua Caliente

Lots of caterpillars and butterflies

Nice view of the Badlands

Palm Spring
Here was a Palm-Studded desert resting place, 1826-1866 for Mexican Pioneers, Mountain Men, the Army of the West, Mormon Battalion, Boundary Commission, Forty-Niners, Railway Survey, Butterfield Overland Mail Stages, and California Legion.  It was the site of the Butterfield Stage Station built in 1858 by Warren F Hall.  California Registered Historical Landmark No 639

Clusters of desert palms have been a welcome sight for centuries with the promise of shade and water.

Stagecoach drivers, guards, and passengers on the Butterfield Overland Mail Line were among the more romanticized travelers to stop here.

Hollywood and Vine

Arroyo Tapiado's Caves

Bypassing the big mud puddle

Whoever said this never went exploring with us

Hiking the Moonlight Canyon Trail

Unfortunately not all the butterflies in the migration made it

Made it home in time for a birthday dinner at Hodad's in Ocean Beach
