Don't follow Google.  It takes you in the exit.

Our timing was perfect for stopping to visit a long time family friend Nancy.  All of her children were in town including Karen and her husband Mike from Washington.  I had not seen Karen, Ruth and Kenny since I was a teenager.

Some of us took a scenic drive on Hwy 71 North to check out the area.

With severe weather expected in this area for Friday afternoon.  We decided to hit the road early in hopes of getting set up at our next destination before the weather got really bad. Our plan worked.  The storm hit later than originally predicted.

A confirmed tornado ripped through Mountainburg, Arkansas Friday afternoon.  Wait we were just in Mountainburg on Thursday afternoon. The tornado leveled 200-year-old trees and tore roofs from buildings.  Four people were hospitalized, 160 buildings were damaged and one woman went into labor during the storm.
