Palo Duro Canyon, Texas

Welcome to the Grand Canyon of Texas.
The second largest canyon in North America.

These brick ruins were once the chimney of the C.C.C. camp recreation hall.  The recreation hall was the center of camp social life, and it was the place where the men read, played games and socialized during their free time.

Paseo del Rio Trail follows the rivers along the canyon floor.

  3. There is an 8 miles paved road through the park. If you want to really see the canyon be prepared to hike or mountain bike.
