Approximately 200,000 years ago, six volcanic eruptions created a 17-mile-long cliff containing thick basalt layers of rock and cooled lava. Petroglyph National Monument protects one of the largest petroglyph sites in North America, featuring designs and symbols carved onto volcanic rocks by Native Americans and Spanish settlers.
Rinconada Canyon
Spanish sheephearders used the grasslands of these canyons and mesa tops for grazing. Sheephearders left behind sheep corals and tin rattles. They also marked the rocks with images common to them, such as crosses and sheep brands.
We went by to see if Walter White was home. Looks like he has beefed up his security system.
