Corinth, Mississippi

We're back
Waiting out the rain before parking

The bugs are really bad this year.
This is our arsenal of bug repellent.  Plus we sprayed some of our clothes with a deterrent that is good for 45 days or 6 washings.

This is our supply of stop itch for when they do bite us.

Thursday night Pickin on the Square

One of Trump's buddies came to town selling hats and t-shirts during Memorial weekend.

Cindy's Place is a must.

A meat and three.
You chose a meat and then three vegetables.
All for $8.00 and yes Mac & Cheese is a vegetable in the south.

They don't look it in this picture but

these little sucker are mean as hell!
We got out our bear spray to use on them.
Lesson learned - Don't stand down wind of the guy spraying it!
They chase cars, tractors and people.

Getting water from the "Spring"

We went out bird watching in the boat

I thought the reflection in the water was cool

The fish may not have been biting but the bugs were

That falling tree has got to go!

Dave and Michael altering the split rail fencing to meet up with the new electric gates.

Checking out the drainage problem

Lots of turtles.
Wouldn't that make a cool tye dye pattern?

Dave and Michael located and cut down a cedar tree.

They will put it on the racks and let it dry.  On our next visit we will strip the bark and use it for a replacement log on Mary Martin's cabin

In 2003 Dave and I had our first barn dance in the loft of this barn. We had so much fun we went home and signed up for square dance lessons.

Rain, rain, rain
Hanging out in the motorhome while it rains.  Setting up the new selfie stick.

Love all the Cardinals

This wasn't exactly who we were trying to attract

This is more like it.
Scarlet Tanager

We really enjoyed the birds this time.  Not sure why we had never put out bird feeders before.  Already thinking about building a bird feeding station on a future visit.

Laundry room attendant

We relocated the motorhome for our final night so we could do some RV site maintenance.

With all the rain we had to fill in a few tire ruts in our usual parking spot.

We had a great time.  We were not able to do most of the projects we had intended to do. The weather and the bugs changed that.

The good news is the projects will still be here next time we come.  Dave was sweet enough to buy me my own chainsaw for our anniversary so that I could help on the projects.
