Traces of an old roadbed and weathered telephone poles mark the path of the famous Route 66. Petrified Forest National Park is the only park in the National Park System containing a section of Historic Route 66.

    Nothing special but freeway close. Mobile Home park converted into RV park.

    Petrified Forest National Park is freeway close. If you have a National Park annual pass it could be a good lunch spot when passing through. North end is mostly Painted Desert. South end is where most of the Petrified trees are.
