Doing bits and pieces of 3 different trails we had to get started early. 6:00 am at the trailhead.
Poison Spider Trail
Sun finally starting to come up
The Poison Spider Trail takes its name from the legend that a little girl named Mary Jane Francis died there from the bite of a poison spider in 1896. Her grave site is lined with stones, and her name and the dates 1889 to 1896 are clearly carved on a headstone. This memorial has encouraged many to leave a parting tribute – all sorts of “stuff” has accumulated around the grave. I'm convinced that it's for good luck on the trail.

Robyn asked her Mom, Kathy to hold her parking spots for the truck and trailer. Being a goofball, this was how Kathy figured out to hold 3 parking spots. Put her sweatshirt in one and lay in the other two. Someone from the hotel saw her and reported a person down in the parking lot. Management came out to check on her.

We stayed in Canyonlands RV park. Which is in town and right across the street from Bighorn Lodge Motel where most everyone else stays. The RV park is right next to the High school. The band practices at 7:10 am. This has not been a problem for us since we are getting up early to go Jeepin.
