Blanding, Utah and surrounding area


Natural Bridges National Monument
 Three huge, stream-carved natural bridges as well as a concentration of Anasazi Indian ruins. The multi-colored bridges can be seen from overlooks or trails along an nine-mile paved loop road through the park. The bridges all have Hopi Indian names.

Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum
 A world class research facility with the archaeological repository for all of Southeast Utah.

Edge of the Cedars Pueblo is an ancient archaeological site; a village on the Chacoan frontier.  The village was inhabited by the ancestors of contemporary Puebloan Peoples from AD 825 to 1125.

Climb down the ladder into a 1,000 year old kiva, a circular room used for ceremonies.

Sand Island Petroglyphs
The Petroglyphs stretches for more than a hundred yards and features hundreds of petroglyphs of every style. Human figures, many types of animals, geometric patterns, scalp figures and numerous Kokopelli figures.
