After having such a great time 4 wheeling in Ouray we decided to try another trail in Marble. The town is the location of a historic Yule Marble quarry along the mountains that began operations in the late 19th century, and from which the town draws its name. The marble of the quarry is considered to be of exceptional quality and has been used for the Tomb of the Unknowns, as well as parts of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC.

The lower trees are all bent over showing evidence of an avalanche area.
We were warned in town that we would see a Toyota Land Cruiser upside down in the river. No one was hurt. When the vehicle got tipsy they got out. Thinking they may have been a little tipsy themselves. This happened at 11:00pm.
Headed to Devil's Punchbowl.
This looks slippery
Let's get a better look at this.
OK, we've got a plan
We were headed to Crested Butte for lunch but just outside of town we passed the tow truck headed in to retrieve the Toyota Land Cruiser. Knowing that it would take hours to pull it out and with the narrow road there would be no passing once he started. We turned around in hopes of getting in front of the tow truck. We met back up near the bridge and were able to get in front of him.
Coming up with a plan
Turns out it is much easier to put it in the river than it is to take it out
It was over 3 hours to get it to this point
